The Jetour T1 will arrive in South Africa alongside the T2 in October 2025, with pre-orders already open. Local pricing and specifications have yet to be confirmed.
In overseas markets, the T1 is offered with two turbopetrol engines: a 135 kW/290 N.m 1.5-litre unit driving the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a 2.0-litre powertrain producing 187 kW and 390 N.m. Coupled with an eight-speed automatic, the more powerful of the two is equipped with all-wheel drive.
The T1 shares its feature-filled cabin with the T2. The interior plays host to such items as 10.25-inch digital instrumentation, 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment, replete with smartphone screen mirroring, and dual-zone climate control. Additionally, a six-, eight- and 12-speaker audio system, wireless smartphone charging pad, and heated/ventilated front seats are available depending on the variant.

The Jetour T1 is en route to South Africa, with the Chinese compact SUV scheduled to arrive on our shores before the end of 2025.

Jetour has announced the local launch date of the T1. Positioned as the more city-focused offering in the Chinese automaker’s T-Series of SUVs, the T1 shares its underpinnings, engine options and drivetrains with the T2, which has also been confirmed for the South African market. However, the T1 is a slightly smaller package than the T2.
The soon-to-arrive five-seater SUV measures 4 705 mm in length (with the tailgate-mounted spare wheel), 1 967 mm in width, 1 843 mm in height, and 2 800 mm between the front and rear axles. The T1 sports a ground clearance of 190 mm (30 mm less than the T2) and a water-fording depth of up to 600 mm.
